West Baltimore’s new Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club is a transformational club.

Torrey was searching for a place to house his LEVEL82 Foundation after his playing career ended in 2019. He took a tour of the city.

He searched for a location with high needs, close to a school with a strong local association and green space where kids could play.

He found that the Hilton Recreation Center, located in West Baltimore was a half-dirt field, which was lacking a lot of green. The building also needed extensive renovations, as it had been closed for over 10 years.

He thought, “This is the perfect place.” “We had a vision of what the space would look like if we maximized it.”

On a sunny afternoon in October, six years later, this dream became a reality. The Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club was opened, a cutting-edge facility that will transform the lives of children and families living in West Baltimore.

Smith told reporters on Monday that the situation was “honestly unbelievable”. What you see is excitement about opportunities, a feeling of having the right tools. This space helps remove many barriers and provides support. This will lead to more success for the young women and men.”

Smith was not the only person with a big dream. He helped to get things started, but many others were involved in the massive project. This is the only third collaboration between an NFL team, and a Boys & Girls Club in the country.
