Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and safety Kyle Hamilton – their two most important players, on either side of football – were listed as non participants in their first week 13 practice.
Jackson has missed the first week’s practice for the third time in a row. This could be a trend that continues throughout the rest of the year. Jackson’s fourth injury listed this year was a toe. Jackson missed three games due to a hamstring injury and had knee and ankle problems in the two previous weeks.
John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, said that Jackson would be ready to play against Cincinnati on Thursday night. On a week that is so short, it’s not surprising that Jackson would miss the Monday practice.
Hamilton’s short week could be the biggest factor. Last week, he was diagnosed with shoulder and groin injuries that bothered him on Sunday. He was also injured with an ankle, hobbled from the field and returned only two plays later. It didn’t prevent him from making 10 tackles and a stellar performance in his next game, but it may keep him out of Thursday’s match. Harbaugh stated that Hamilton could play. His status will be monitored over the next couple of days.
