The Week 4 2025 NFL Season features a matchup between two desperate AFC Super Bowl candidates as the Baltimore Ravens (1-2) take on the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) at Arrowhead.
Baltimore Beatdown’s crew makes bold predictions about Sunday’s game against the AFC champions.
It’s difficult to imagine that the Ravens defensive unit will suddenly turn the corner against the Chiefs this Sunday. Patrick Mahomes has consistently beaten them in the past, and he will do it again with more than 300 yards on Sunday. The tackling will improve, but Isaiah Pacheco will still find ways to gain big gains. Mike Green will get his first sack, but it will be all the Ravens will manage. Lamar Jackson, on offense, is able to rise to the occasion, with over 350 yards total and four touchdowns. Derrick Henry, however, manages to keep the ball, but does not have a dominating game. The game is close up until the final minutes, when the Chiefs execute the correct plays and the Ravens cannot. Baltimore drops to 1-3 after a 35-30 loss. — Nikhil Mehta
The Ravens will continue to perform the same way they always have, with a focus on two high-safety looks that limit deep plays while providing limited additional support for both run and pass rush. This is good news for the Chiefs who are struggling to run the football and have attempted to make deep shots more than any other team in the league. The Ravens’ defense will appear to have “rounded up” as a result. The Ravens keep the Chiefs’ running game under 100 yards, and allow only one pass over 20+ airyards. The improved tackling of last week limits the Chiefs’ offensive output to just under 20. Malaki Starks catches his first career interception on a Mahomes deep ball as the Chiefs attempt to come back in the fourth quarter.
For the fourth consecutive week, the Ravens scored 30+ points to begin the season. Lamar Jackson’s offense relies on Derrick Henry, who has over 100 yards this week, and Zay Flower to get them there. Isaiah Likely begins his season with a touchdown, sealing the game late. Jackson throws his season’s first interception as Steve Spagnola is always a challenge for him. He makes up for this with a good day on the ground. Jackson gains over 30 yards on the ground and scores a touchdown.

The Ravens defensive struggles continued on Sunday as they were unable to force a turnover or sack Patrick Mahomes. This was the second of four games this season that the Ravens had not forced a turnover and no sacks. Travis Kelce is a force in the passing game against Baltimore’s linebackers, converting key third downs that Mahomes needs to continue drives. Mahomes’s acrobatic aerial attacks are enough to destroy the Ravens’ defense, even if the run defense has improved from last week when they were beaten by the Lions.
Derrick Henry is not given much room to run by the offensive line. Jackson had another great day in the air. He threw three touchdowns including one to Isaiah Likely, who made his season debut. Jackson also added another 50+ yard on the ground. Kansas City doesn’t sack Jackson as many times as Detroit did last week, but they still press him throughout the day and come away with three sacks. The Chiefs’ defense forces the game-changing turn over that propels Kansas City to victory. The Ravens defense will be better in Week 4, than it has been for most of the first three games, and surpass expectations that have now become ridiculously low. The Ravens will limit the Chiefs’ rushing to less than 100 yds, sack Patrick Mahomes several times and force a fumble thanks to Kyle Hamilton. Derrick Henry, on the other hand, will bounce back with 75+ yards and a touchdown. He’ll also break his streak of fumbles. Isaiah Likely, in his debut regular season game, will score a touchdown and have 50+ yards receiving. In Kansas City, the Ravens are in a position to win another close battle late in the 4th quarter. However, they will fall short when Mahomes performs some magic on the final drive. — Frank Platko
