Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is out of practice due to a knee injury

Lamar Jackson, quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, missed practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, said that Jackson had “some soreness” after Sunday’s game in Minnesota.

Jackson’s injury is not known. According to Next Gen Stats, Jackson was constantly under pressure against the Vikings’ relentless defense. They blitzed on Sunday at a rate of 58.8%. Minnesota only received four quarterback hits out of 34 dropbacks. However, Jackson was contacted more than once by pass rushers.

Jackson’s left leg also collided against the helmet of Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers during a run in the fourth-quarter, which may be the cause of his pain.

Harbaugh stated that Jackson “should” be okay, though Ravens fans are familiar with that refrain. A second absence on Thursday could be an indication that the eighth year quarterback will miss Sunday’s game against the Browns. Even a limited participation is cause for concern.

Cooper Rush, the backup quarterback, would take over if Jackson was unable to play at Cleveland. Tyler Huntley had won the Browns’ Week 8 matchup and would get his second start for the season.
