Ravens DT Nnamdi madubuike is out until 2025, and possibly longer

Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike is out for the remainder of the 2025 football season with a neck injury. This confirms the worst fears of fans since his collapse after Week 2.

John Harbaugh said on Monday that Nnamdi would be out of the game for the entire year. “That will be a one-year IR.”

Madubuike has been placed on the injured reserve list. The injury first appeared after the Ravens’ win over Browns in Week 2. Alarm bells rang immediately in Baltimore. Neck problems are notoriously difficult and can end seasons or careers. Harbaugh’s comments in the last two weeks have only fueled more anxiety about Madubuike’s long-term absence.

Harbaugh responded that Madubuike should address the issue of his long-term outlook.

Harbaugh explained, “In terms what I am allowed to say, there are a number of things he should address with you in his own time.” I can’t, and wouldn’t like to, speak for him. He would be the best person to answer those questions, and he could be receiving some information about them.

The absence of Madubuike has been a major factor in Baltimore’s defensive performance over the past two weeks. In Week 3, Lions gained 224 yards on the ground and scored four touchdowns while allowing no sacks. The Ravens allowed Patrick Mahomes to spend too much time inside the pocket, and they couldn’t get any short-yardage tackles.
