Ravens’ defense is turning a corner with ‘Contagious Takeaways’

The Ravens defense has a new look.

The Ravens almost doubled their takeaways from the previous seven games. They had only generated four in those first seven matches, which was the second-lowest number in the league. Two fumbles, one interception and a sack helped the Ravens to a 28-6 victory over the Dolphins.

The first was Alohi Gillman. Marlon Husty was next. Malaki Starks was next.

Gilman and Humphrey have both racked up double-digit interceptions. Starks’ first career interception came as a reward for rarely snapping the camera.

Starks grabbed the ball from Dolphins quarterback TuaTagovailoa in the fourth-quarter, when Baltimore led 28-6. Starks snatched the ball on a heave by Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the fourth quarter, with Baltimore leading 28-6.

Starks made six interceptions while wearing the colors of Georgia in college. He has now had his first in purple and black.

“It’s special. Starks stated that the goal is to get a touchdown every time. “We had many turnovers tonight. We did. “I think that the defense really showed us who we can be.”
