According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Baltimore Ravens are interested in interviewing Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator Joe Brady as a candidate for their vacant head coaching position. Brady will be available for an interview after Sunday’s Wild Card game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills.
Brady is one of the youngest offensive coordinators working in the NFL. He has steadily risen through the ranks. In 2017, he joined the NFL as an offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints. He then returned to the college level in 2019 as LSU’s wide receivers and passing game coach. Brady made his name at LSU, where he was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for a National Championship-winning offense with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, among other NFL stars.
Brady was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL the year after his success at LSU. Two seasons later, he became the quarterbacks coach for the Bills and began working with Josh Allen. In 2023 he replaced Brian Daboll as the Bills interim offensive coordinator. Since then, he has been the offensive coordinator of the Bills for the last two seasons.
In each of the last three seasons, the Bills have been ranked in top 10 for points scored. Brady has been the full-time coordinator of the Bills’ offensive strategy for the past two seasons. The Bills are ranked second and fourth amongst all teams in terms of average points scored per game. The Bills had the best NFL rushing offense by 2025.
Ravens and other teams are probably attracted by Brady’s offensive intelligence, as well as his ability to make the best use of the personnel at hand. It is also noteworthy that he was able to help Allen become an MVP quarterback.
