Lamar Jackson and Two More Ravens starters not practicing

Lamar Jackson, along with four other Ravens players, did not attend practice on Wednesday. The Ravens are preparing to face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Jackson did not miss any snaps or suffer any visible injuries in the 27-19 victory in Minnesota on Sunday. He missed three games this season because of a hamstring problem.

Tyler Huntley will start if Jackson is unable to play. Huntley, the Ravens Week 8 starter who won against the Chicago Bears, spent his training camp in Cleveland and was released on August 24.

Both cornerback Marlon Huffrey and wide receiver Rashod Batesman, both Ravens starters (ankle), have also been unable to practice. Humphrey reportedly was deciding if he wanted to have surgery on his hand.

John Harbaugh, Ravens Head Coach, said on Monday that the team was waiting to determine how serious Bateman’s injury is after a hip drop tackle resulted in a sprained foot. A report by The Baltimore Sun states that Bateman will not be playing in Cleveland.

Devontez Walker, who scored 2 touchdowns in Week 2 against the Browns, could be returning to the field.

On Wednesday, the running back Justice Hill (knee), and rookie linebacker Jay Higgins III (knee), did not practice.

Hill, the No. Keaton Mitchell, the No. 2 running back could get a bigger role. Harbaugh announced that Higgins will be out for a couple of weeks. Higgins has played 61% snaps on special teams.
