For the second consecutive practice this week, Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers was the only Baltimore Ravens player absent as the team prepared for their Divisional Round showdown with the Buffalo Bills. Flowers has not practiced since suffering a knee injury in the regular-season finale, raising doubts about his availability for Sunday’s game.
Earlier in the week, Head Coach John Harbaugh left the door open for Flowers to play even without practicing.
“He could play against the Bills in the game even without practicing,” Harbaugh said.
However, Flowers’ continued absence fuels speculation that he may not be ready in time. With his game relying heavily on acceleration, speed, and agility, returning to action in Buffalo’s cold and physical environment could be a tall order.
Even without Flowers, the Ravens have proven they can thrive offensively. Their top-ranked rushing attack, led by Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, remains their most potent weapon against Buffalo’s defense.
Baltimore’s run game dominated the Bills in Week 4, racking up 271 yards in a 35-10 victory. While both teams have evolved since then, the Ravens’ ability to control the clock and impose their will on the ground remains key to their success.
Without Flowers, Baltimore will lean on other pass-catchers to step up, including:
While Flowers’ status remains uncertain, the Ravens’ ability to adapt and dominate on the ground gives them confidence heading into Sunday’s game. If Flowers is unable to play, Baltimore will once again rely on their physical rushing attack and opportunistic passing game to get the job done.
What do you think, Ravens fans? Can the offense maintain its dominance without Flowers, or will his absence be a major hurdle? Let us know in the comments!
