Zaire Mitchell Paden, a Maryland product who has spent three years on the practice squad, is now proving to be worth the wait

Mitchell-Paden is from Rockville, Md. in Montgomery County. He played college football at Notre Dame College, (not the Notre Dame), before transferring to Florida Atlantic.

He signed as a free agent with the Browns and spent his first NFL season on their practice team. In the same year, he joined the Ravens practice squad, where he learned from Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar. Monken said that the 6’5″, 257 pound player who looks like a Greek god, was able to play well enough in training camp to be included on the Ravens 53-man roster.

Mitchell-Paden would play his first NFL regular season game at his home stadium if he is called up again from the practice team this weekend. He’s excited but won’t tell his family or friends that he may play.

He said, “I just try to keep my head down, stay prepared, and stay focused.” “I just make sure that I keep my main goal the primary thing every single day.”
