The Ravens have begun the search for a replacement head coach after parting ways with John Harbaugh, who served 18 seasons.
Baltimore only has three head coaches over its 30 years of existence – a remarkable track record for success and continuity.
The Ravens, one of seven teams currently looking for a new head coach, will now be led by owner Steve Bisciotti who built his company on staffing.
In a statement released Tuesday evening Bisciotti stated: “We are now beginning the challenging but exciting process of identifying our next football team leader.”
We fully understand what our fans, and the entire Ravens organization, expect from us. It is vital to find another strong leader or partner who can reflect these high standards.
In 2008, Bisciotti hired a special team coordinator who was never a head coach. It worked out. It’s anybody’s guess as to who the Ravens will target this time.
Ravens brass have not indicated who they will interview, so there may be more candidates on the list. According to media reports only, these are the top candidates for head coach available to any team.
