What the Jets said after losing to the Ravens

Head Coach Aaron Glenn

Opening Statement: “[That] was a tough loss today. I feel sorry for the players. I told them that I loved them and their effort was amazing. It’s disappointing to not win when those guys played the first halves exactly as we hoped. We should have scored when we took the ball and drove it in that first time. We come back and stop them in defense. Then, we score. We are 7-3 up at the end of the first half. I thought that our players played the way we wanted them to. We knew [the Ravens] would have a surge in the second half, and they did. As a coaching team, we must help them. We have to also make plays when the time is right. I believe in them. “I believe in this team.”

He explains why he wasn’t happy with the substitution process on Ravens RB Derrick Henrys first touchdown. There were several calls I questioned. We will not make excuses. In this league, it happens. When they sub, I thought you should give us some time to substitute. We didn’t get time to substitute because our players were on the field. “It is what it’s.”

I love Breece hall. Breece Hall is a great player for us. He will fight for every yard. Once you start fighting for every yard we all know that the ball must be protected. [Marlon] Humphrey did an excellent job in chasing it down and grabbing it. As you can see, we had [Hall] running, trying to get the ball to him as much as possible. It was one of those moments where they made a great play and then took it away. They made a great play.”

QB Tyrod’s performance: I thought he performed well. I don’t have the numbers for passing yards. I knew there were more than 200 yards. To get the results we desire, we need to be able mix up the run and pass games. From what I saw, I thought that he did an excellent job.
