Tyler Huntley will start for the Ravens if Lamar Jackson is inactive against the Packers

Lamar Jackson, quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, will not play in Saturday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Tyler Huntley, the backup quarterback, will take his place.

Jackson was not expected play, after missing all of the practice due to a back injury sustained against the Patriots during Week 15. Jackson has missed four games this season.

Huntley will take on the Packers’ backup quarterback Malik Willis as starter Jordan Love has been declared inactive. Green Bay also has rookie Savion William and starting right tackle Zach Tom inactive. Jordan Morgan will replace Tom along the offensive lines, and the Packers will distribute Williams’ snaps and targets among their rotating receivers.

Jay Higgins, a Ravens rookie undrafted linebacker who was placed on injured reserve for six weeks due to a knee problem, will make his debut after Week 10, following a six-week absence. His presence will give the Ravens’ special teams more depth after Chandler Martin and Teddye Buchanan were injured in Weeks 14-15.

Keyon Martin, a rookie nickel undrafted by the Ravens, has been pushed out of the secondary rotation due to Ar’Darius Washington returning from his Achilles injury. This season, both defensive tackle Aeneas Pease and offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom have been injured.
