Buchanan, who spent three years at UC Davis before transferring to Cal to play football last year, saw his draft stock soar after he made the All-ACC first team with 114 tackles. This put him on Ravens radar and he is now a major player in their 2025 draft.
Buchanan, who is well aware of the Ravens linebacker tradition, said earlier in this season that he tries to maintain that standard.
Buchanan stated, “It is a blessing to be given this responsibility.” It means a great deal to me and I take it very seriously. I am aware of the pedigree the Ravens’ defense, and especially their linebackers, have. “That’s a great motivation for me to do my best.”
