Teddye Buchanan, a Ravens rookie linebacker, has been ruled to be out of the game due to a knee injury sustained in Sunday’s match in Cincinnati.
Buchanan fell without making contact when he was covering a punt at the end of the 1st quarter. He was helped off the field, but eventually he was taken to the locker rooms on a cart.
Buchanan, a fourth-round draft pick, has played a significant role in the Ravens defense. He has also had an outstanding rookie season.
He started 12 out of 13 games, and played 74% defensive snaps for the Ravens. Buchanan had 91 tackles entering the game, second most on the team after Roquan Smith. This included five tackles for loss, and a 1/2 sack.
Trenton Simpson was inserted next to Smith by the Ravens after Buchanan’s injury.
