Stephen A. Smith Has A Warning For Lamar Jackson Ahead Of Playoff Game

The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best teams in the NFL this season.

However, we’ve seen this story in the past.

This was also the case last season when they had the best record in the league.

Then, when it mattered the most, Lamar Jackson fell short again.

That has been a common trend for the quarterback come playoff time, so ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith believes it’s finally time for Jackson to take a step forward.

Smith claimed that even though the Ravens won’t have wide receiver Zay Flowers because of a knee injury, Jackson has more than enough weapons to take care of business against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round.

“Enough’s enough. This is a two-time league MVP. … It’s because of his greatness that we need the expectations met,” Smith said on “First Take.”

Smith asserted that no one denies or doubts Jackson’s greatness.

On the contrary, because of his overwhelming talent, people want to see him be that good in the postseason.

Smith pointed out that Jackson is the only player in NFL history to win at least two MVP awards without winning a Super Bowl.

There have always been questions about whether Jackson’s style of play allows a team to win in the playoffs.

Then again, we’ve seen him shred opposing defenses left and right in the regular season over and over, even against some of the best teams in the league.

Now, he has to do it when it counts the most.
