The rivalry between the Ravens and Steelers doesn’t take an offseason break—especially not on social media.
Just a week after Baltimore ended Pittsburgh’s season in the wild-card round, Roquan Smith had some fun at former teammate Patrick Queen’s expense, joking about Queen’s early vacation plans. But after the Ravens’ heartbreaking 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Queen couldn’t resist a little payback.
Taking to Twitter after the game, Queen teased Smith and the Ravens about joining him on a tropical getaway:
“Aww yeah Ro I saved the jet for ya,” Queen wrote, complete with a laughing emoji.
The lighthearted jab added a humorous twist to an otherwise somber night for Baltimore fans.
While the banter between Queen and Smith was entertaining, the game itself was anything but for the Ravens. Baltimore outgained Buffalo by 143 yards, finishing with 416 yards of total offense. However, three costly turnovers—including a critical fourth-quarter fumble by Mark Andrews—ultimately sealed their fate.
Despite their offensive production, the Ravens couldn’t make enough clutch plays to advance, leaving players and fans alike with an offseason full of “what-ifs.”
Patrick Queen and Roquan Smith were once a dynamic duo for Baltimore, but Queen’s move to Pittsburgh has only added fuel to one of the NFL’s fiercest rivalries.
Queen’s playful trolling serves as a reminder that while the Ravens got the better of the Steelers this postseason, the battle between these AFC North foes never really ends. For fans of both teams, the countdown to their next showdown has already begun.
