Baltimore Ravens lose 44-10 at home to the Houston Texans to fall to 1-4 for the season.
Baltimore Beatdown Roundtable Reactions: Ravens Week 5 defeat
The Ravens disappointed on all levels, no matter how low their expectations were going into the game. The Ravens didn’t lose with a bang; they lost by missing tackles, committing mistakes, and looking outmatched against a Texans squad that had not been very good – or even that strong – at the start of the season.
Baltimore could bounce back and get healthier with a softer schedule after the bye? It is possible, but not likely. There are no easy answers in the NFL. The Ravens are losing ground in this season. – Nikhil Mehta
Even the score difference doesn’t surprise me. I’m not surprised by the score difference. The lack of fighting was the worst part of this match. I’ve never witnessed a John Harbaugh-led team lose so badly in a match. The Covid game played by half the team in 2020 was harder than this one.
This team is clearly not going to fight this season. We’ll see what happens in the Rams game next week and if Ravens decide to sell at the deadline. – Zach Canter
The Ravens managed to disappoint despite low expectations. John Harbaugh’s team has never been embarrassed on both sides at home, but today was the first time. The Ravens showed little fight, and the team only deteriorated as the game went on. The organization is filled with questions from top to bottom and has no answers at this time. The floor has been lowered further now after the loss last week and a series of injuries that preceded it. – Frank Platko
