Roundtable Reactions – Baltimore Ravens trail Cleveland Browns by halftime

At halftime, the Baltimore Ravens trail Cleveland Browns 16-10. Here are instant reactions from Baltimore Beatdown staff.

At the half, the Ravens trail by six points due to three familiar enemies: penalties, sacks and turnovers. In this game, both the offense and special teams were terrible. They should win the game if they clean up their act during the second half. This is not a guarantee, however, against Myles Garrett who has been virtually unblockable in this game. Baltimore’s defense has been strong on third down and the red zone. But they can’t keep putting all the pressure on one side. – Nikhil Mehta

The Ravens’ half-time performance was a disaster. Fortunately, the deficit is only six points. Todd Monken must find a solution to stop Myles Garret, who has terrorized Ravens offensive line. Lamar Jackson must also come alive during this second half. He hasn’t been sharp, even though the interception as well as a few other incomplete passes have passed through his teammates. The special teams mistakes have been costly and hopefully they will be corrected in the next 30 minutes. Mark Myers

The first half was a typical AFC North brawl. The Browns were given more points than they deserved by special teams mistakes and an interception that Keaton Mitchel threw. Myles Garrett’s erratic play against the Baltimore offensive line is also not surprising, but the Ravens must find a solution to minimize his impact on the game in the second-half. Todd Monken will stick with the ground game, a combination of Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchel. It has been successful so far. Dustin Cox
