In Kansas City, the Ravens already had a short-handed team and their defense suffered three big hits.
Roquan Smith, a linebacker (hamstring), and Marlon Hushprey, a cornerback (calf), were both ruled out of the game after being injured in the first quarter. Nate Wiggins was also forced to leave the game in the fourth.
Baltimore, who entered the game as the lowest in the league for yards allowed, will be down seven defensive starters.
Smith was injured late in the second-quarter after a completion of 15 yards to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Humphrey was injured earlier in the half. Wiggins was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter, after a hard hit in the flats on Chiefs runningback Isiah Pacheco.
Jake Hummel replaced Smith at linebacker. Humphrey was replaced in the slot by undrafted rookie Keyes Martin. John Jenkins and C.J. are the only Ravens left. On the defensive line, there are Brent Urban, Josh Tupou, Aeneas peebles and rookie Aeneas. T.J. Tampa took over for Wiggins, who was ruled to be questionable.
Travis Jones (knee), Nnamdi Madubuike(neck) and Broderick Washingon Jr.(ankle) have been placed on the injured reserve list. Kyle Van Noy, the outside linebacker (hamstring), is also out for his second consecutive game.
Ronnie Stanley, the left tackle, and Lamar Jackson, the offensive lineman (both with hamstring injuries) were forced to leave the game early in the second half.
