As the NFL playoffs move to the Divisional Round, Rob Gronkowski has made his bold prediction for the AFC: The Baltimore Ravens will upset the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship and punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
Speaking on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, the former All-Pro tight end highlighted why he believes this is Lamar Jackson’s year to overcome his playoff narrative and lead the Ravens to glory.
Gronkowski emphasized the stakes for Jackson, who is seeking his first Super Bowl appearance.
“Lamar Jackson HAS to get over that hump,” Gronkowski said. “If this isn’t the year, then I don’t think he’s EVER gonna do it.”
While Jackson has faced criticism for not yet achieving postseason success on par with his regular-season dominance, Gronkowski believes the Ravens’ current roster gives him the best chance of his career to change that narrative.
Gronkowski pointed to several key factors that make the Ravens his pick to win the AFC:
Before a potential matchup with the Chiefs, the Ravens must first take down the Buffalo Bills in what many are calling a Super Bowl-worthy showdown. The Bills present a formidable challenge, but Gronkowski believes Jackson and the Ravens will prevail.
“Considering the team Jackson has around him, he has a fantastic chance of making a deep run, perhaps the best opportunity of his career to date,” Gronkowski added.
Rob Gronkowski’s confidence in the Ravens reflects the growing belief that this could be their year to finally break through. With Jackson at the helm and a stacked supporting cast, Baltimore has the tools to deliver on Gronkowski’s bold prediction.
