The Baltimore Ravens faced major challenges in Week 7 with injuries affecting both their offensive line and defensive line.
The pass-rush rotation of the team has not been able to create consistent pressure on the defense, leaving it exposed at crucial moments.
Baltimore could soon remedy this weakness by bringing in a veteran edge-rusher with 32 career sacks who has extensive experience in the AFC North division.
There are reports that the Ravens have recently worked out former Cincinnati Bengals defense end Carl Lawson.
Ari Meirov, of The 33rd Team, shared the news with X. He noted the team’s keen interest in the 30-year old pass rusher.

Lawson provides Baltimore with a proven solution for boosting their pass rush.
Last season, he showed his ability to press quarterbacks with the Dallas Cowboys. He then entered free agency.
The Bengals originally selected the Auburn product in the fourth-round of the 2017 draft. He signed a four year rookie contract valued at $3.05million.
In 2021, he signed a deal worth $45 million over three years with the New York Jets.
Lawson, who was facing a base salary of $15 million in 2023 agreed to take a paycut before becoming a free agent. He joined Dallas during the training camp.
In 2024, he split his time between the active roster and practice squad, playing in 15 games and recording 15 tackles. He also recorded four tackles for losses, one forced fumble and five sacks.
His experience and his production could be an immediate help to a Ravens’ defense that is looking for answers.
