Many analysts are still picking Ravens as the Super Bowl winner
Even though the Ravens have had a tough start to their season, many pundits still believe they will win the Super Bowl.
NFL.com’s 25 analysts revisited the Super Bowl they originally picked, and four still think the Ravens are going to win the Lombardi Trophy. The Buffalo Bills (6 votes) and Kansas City Chiefs (5 votes) got more votes. Take a look at the results:
Dan Parr: “Ravens over Eagles. I’m sticking to my preseason predictions. “The Ravens are a historic team, going from 1-5 in the season to Super Bowl champs by peaking just at the right time.”
Bobby Kownack “Ravens Over Rams.” Baltimore, fueled by playing do or die football since October, climbs out of the 1-5 hole and reaches the Super Bowl where Lamar Jackson finishes off a comeback for the ages.
Michael Baca: “Ravens over Eagles. Despite the challenges Baltimore has experienced this season, my Super Bowl LX winner is Lamar Jackson and the Ravens leading them to victory over the defending champs after enduring an arduous regular season.
Brooke Cersosimo : “Ravens Over Lions” It’s how you begin that matters. The Ravens are determined to make it into the playoffs, and they do. Lamar Jackson, one of the most talented players of his generation, delivers on his promise made at draft night seven years ago. “Believe that.
ESPN’s Field Yates has predicted that the Ravens would overtake the Pittsburgh Steelers to win the AFC North.
Yates wrote: “Despite their 1-5 record, the Ravens are in a good position to return to the top of the division. It will come down to either them or the Steelers.” Pittsburgh’s defense was impressive in Week 9’s win over Indianapolis. However, I am not convinced that they can maintain this level of performance on a weekly basis. Baltimore’s margin of error is very narrow but I expect a surge with four games against teams currently below.500 and two against Pittsburgh.
Emory hunt, CBS Sports’ Emory believes that the Ravens not only will win the AFC North but will also go undefeated for the remainder of the season.
