Ravens trade Jaire Alexander to Eagles

The Ravens traded cornerback Jaire Alexis and a pick in the 2027 seventh round to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a pick from 2026.

Alexander played only two games for the Ravens after signing on June 18th.

Alexander, who had a good start to the season in training, missed a little over a month as he took care of the knee that was operated on last year.

The Ravens gave Alexander extra time to regain his form after a tough debut in Buffalo, where the Bills came back from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Alexander played only one game against the Houston Texans, when all Ravens were healthy.

According to Pro Football Focus, he made five tackles during his two games and gave up five receptions for five targets totaling 116 yards.

Before Alexander was injured, the Ravens looked at other cornerbacks. T.J. Tampa, a second-year cornerback, has started every game this season while Alexander is a healthy scratch.

The Ravens were able to get an extra draft pick next year because Chidobe Humphrey and Marloes Awuzie, both healthy and back, played for the Ravens almost the entire game. Alexander remained on the bench. Baltimore is also said to have saved about $2 million in salary cap.
