Ravens show resilience in hard-fought win in Cleveland

Ravens Show Their Resilience In Hard-Won Win in Cleveland

On a windy Sunday in Cleveland, it’s no surprise that the Ravens-Browns match was a physically intense and tight game.

In the last minutes, it took a strong defensive effort and a clever trick play by an inconsistent offense for the Ravens to come back to win 23-16 over the Browns. Baltimore (5-5) returned to.500 with its fourth straight win and stayed on pace with AFC North leader Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) in the final minutes.

The Ravens won their second consecutive grind-it out game despite committing three mistakes (two interceptions from Lamar Jackson, and a muffed kick by LaJohntayWester). The Ravens offense struggled in the red area, but they showed resilience and grit to win in a stadium in which they had lost their previous three meetings.

According to Josh Tolentino of the Baltimore Sun: On a day that was gloomy and the offense seemed stuck, the Ravens fought through their mistakes to win the divisional match against the Browns. This is the first time they have swept the Browns since 2020. The Ravens may not have won with style points yet or four-quarter performances, but they do have a sense of momentum going into the last third of the season.

Bennett Conlin, The Baltimore Sun: Baltimore shouldn’t focus on this performance because it was uncharacteristic. Focus on beating the Jets to a pulp in one week. “A win is a victory, no matter how ugly.”

Paul Mancano, The Baltimore Banner: If the Ravens can pull off a remarkable season turnaround and win the game in Cleveland on Week 11, no one will be bothered by how ugly it looked. Beggars cannot be choosers and the Ravens need to win, regardless of how it happens.

Derek Arnold, Russell Street Report: It wasn’t pretty. It was never going be pretty under these conditions, at that stadium and against that team. “The ultimate’survive-and-advance’ game.”

Mark Myers, Baltimore Beatdown: It wasn’t pretty but the win was what mattered. The Ravens’ struggle to secure a playoff position is made more difficult by multiple mind-numbing penalty, losing the turnover war, and the tough divisional road environment. Today confirmed that this team currently is incapable of a full performance. But four wins in a line show its resilience.”
