The Baltimore Ravens rolled the dice in the second round of the NFL Draft.
They took Marshall superstar Mike Green, who seemed to have all the physical traits to be a superstar, but sounded off some alarms throughout the course of the pre-draft process.
From a football perspective, however, Brian Baldinger doesn’t see a reason why he won’t be able to make an immediate impact.
Talking on the NFL Network, Baldinger gushed about the young pass-rusher:
“When you watch Baltimore and you watch them practice, obviously Lamar and Derrick Henry and all the big names, but this Mike Green, the rookie out of Marshall—I watched him play 33 snaps in the opening preseason game, and he threw every kind of pass rush move you could throw at somebody. He was not afraid to throw his repertoire in the preseason. I’m not gonna be surprised if he has success this year with his ability right now,” Baldinger said.

There was never a doubt about Green’s talent or athleticism.
He’s got a vast array of moves to beat his opposition, and while he’s not the biggest player and still needs to bulk up a little, his instincts are just remarkable.
He led the FBS in sacks with 17 during his final season in college, and he drew first-round grades from most scouts and experts.
Then again, there were some massive red flags, headlined by some sexual assault accusations and his departure from the Virginia football team.
Those concerns were just too big to ignore, and rightfully so, up to the point where he almost fell out of the second round entirely as well.
The Ravens, however, may have felt comfortable with him after doing their due diligence and gathering some intel.
From a football standpoint, however, he has all the tools to be one of the most disruptive defensive forces in the game a couple of years from now, although he should be out there as an every-down starter as a rookie as well.
