Baltimore Ravens have just won a thrilling, shutout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens are now back at.500, and can keep up with the AFC North.
Highlights include the defense’s performance in shutting out Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr chase. They not only shut Burrow down for the first time during his NFL career, but they also outscored their opponent’s offense. Chase has an impressive record of dominating the Ravens even though Tee Higgins was not with the Bengals. Cincinnati’s offensive has also been better than in previous years. This was not the same offense as that of the Ravens during their five-game winning streak.
On Sunday, the Ravens offense was also impressive, even though it didn’t show up until after the second quarter. Despite some numbers that are not great (17 points, 29.9% on third-down, and just over 20 minutes in possession), others (such as 7.9 yards per play or 189 rushing yard, or 12.5 yards/passing try) show the true flow of the match. Baltimore didn’t have many long drives but was efficient when on the field. In the second half they only had possession of the ball twice, before the clock ran out in the fourth. The weather conditions can make a football a rock.
