Ravens Reacts: survey results show fans think Baltimore should sell by deadline

SB Nation measures fan confidence in each NFL team every week. Unsurprisingly, this year, Baltimore Ravens fan confidence has dropped.

In our Ravens Reacts pre-Week 1, 95% of the fans expressed confidence in the direction that their team was taking. In Week 4, the number had dropped to just 11% and hasn’t risen higher than 13% ever since. Even though the Ravens expect to have Lamar Jackson and Roquan back in Week 7, only 11% responded to the survey this week that they are confident about the team’s future.

The Baltimore defense, which has allowed the fifth most passing yards and touchdowns in this season’s record book, is what fans are most worried about. Injuries have affected the secondary and pass rush, but this does not explain the entire unit’s struggles.

The Ravens faced similar problems in 2024, but were able to overcome them with key adjustments made during the second half of season. Zach Orr, the defensive coordinator, made a few adjustments last week. He moved Kyle Hamilton to the slot, and Marlon Huffrey out on the boundary. The Rams let the Ravens get away with it on several occasions. However, as a group the defense did seem to make a positive step. A bounce-back is not impossible with a list of easier offenses following the bye.

Fans still believe that Eric DeCosta, the general manager of the Chargers, should be willing to sell players before Week 9’s trade deadline. Odafe Oweh was already traded to the Chargers. However, receiving an experienced veteran with a contract expiring in exchange is not exactly a selling move. Mark Andrews, Keaton Mitchell and other names have also been mentioned in trade discussions. The Ravens are also interested in adding defensive talent.

What players should the Ravens trade and for what compensation?
