Ravens-Rams Inactives: Baltimore only has 4 DL

Only four defensive linemen will be available to the Baltimore Ravens for their Sunday game against Los Angeles Rams.

The defensive line was put in a difficult position when rookie Aeneas Peasebles, who had been deactivated due to a health scratch, was removed. Travis Jones, Brent Urban John Jenkins and C.J. Okoye must stay healthy and fresh for the full 60 minutes.

This is a path that the Ravens have taken before and it appears to be a risky choice. A single injury to the defensive line can bring the whole unit down. This season, the biggest problems for the defense have been stopping the run and allowing the offense to go on long drives. With only four defensive linesmen, the first becomes more difficult and the second is more dangerous. By the fourth quarter who will still have legs?

For the fifth time, rookie Carson Vinson has been ruled out of a game due to injury. Vinson was active in last week’s game with Ronnie Stanley out, but the Ravens have all three of their OTs healthy.

had ruled out the Ravens’ other absences before the game. Cooper Rush will replace Lamar Jackson, and Teddye Buchanan will replace Roquan. T.J. Tampa will replace Chidobe awuzie. However, the Ravens secondary could look different this week due to their shake-up.

Inactives for the Rams include zero Pro Bowlers. However, an absence of Rob Havenstein as the starting right tackle may give some opportunities to Ravens edge rushers. Losing linebacker Omar Speights will not have a significant impact.

The Rams will be at full strength on Sunday and aim to get to 4-2, to stay ahead in the NFC West.
