Ravens raise CB Amani Oruwariye and WR Keith Kirkwood for Steelers matchup

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Amani oruwariye, and wide receiver Keith Kirkwood were promoted from the practice squad to play Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Oruwariye only played in one game so far this season, the Ravens Week 12 victory over the New York Jets. He was on special teams for 12 snaps and is likely to have the same role in Pittsburgh. In the event that Marlon (illness) Humphrey is not able to play, he is an additional cornerback.

Kirkwood was elevated by the Ravens in Week 18, but he didn’t play a snap. Kirkwood could have received a larger game check for being on the roster during the game. This may be the case again this year. Kirkwood would not be a good choice to replace Devontez or Tylan Walker, especially since Rashod Bateman will not play. Both players are more offensively oriented and also contribute to special teams. The former is more important for this weekend.
