Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and 5 other starters missed the first practice of Week 16.

Six Ravens starters, including Lamar Jackson, were absent from the first Baltimore Ravens practice of Week 16.

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, said that Jackson had flu-like symptoms and was kept home. It’s nothing new for the 28 year-old quarterback who has appeared on the injury list with illness multiple times during his career.

Harbaugh said that Roquan Stanley and Ronnie Stanley had been “held back” due to minor injuries sustained in the game on Sunday. Stanley was injured in the third-quarter and didn’t return. Smith played all snaps. The rookie Carson Vinson completed the drive as left tackle. When the Ravens returned to the field the following time, the backups closed the game. Stanley had the chance to play again, but never did. Why would the team put Stanley on the field during garbage time when the other starters were done for the day.

Unfortunately, we already know that Teddye Buchanan, a rookie linebacker, will be out of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. In the next few days, he should be placed in injured reserve.

Awuzie had a number of issues to deal with this year. One was a hamstring injury that kept him out for Weeks 5 and 6 as he recovered. In Week 15, he suffered a shoulder strain against the Steelers. On Sunday, his foot got caught in the net of the field-goal attempt. Harbaugh said on Monday that it was not a serious injury.

Harbaugh has only addressed Van Noy’s injury to his quad. We will learn more about the other Ravens injured later this week.

The Ravens injury report for Wednesday is here:

On Wednesday, the Patriots’ defense was a mess. Five starters were absent: cornerbacks Carrlton Davis, Marcus Jones, linebackers Cadlton Elliss, Robert Spillane and edge rusher Harold Landry. Christian Barmore, the sixth starter on New England’s Injury Report, was listed as a limited player with an injury-related/other designation.
