Hamilton “knocked wood” on the podium when a reporter asked him a question at the press conference after the game. The All-Pro safety is one of the last healthy starters in defense.

According to Kyle Goon of The Baltimore Banner, if Hamilton was the last man left on the unit it could not be in better care.

The Ravens’ defense may be too damaged to repair this year, with injuries to Nnamdi, Roquan, Marlon, and others. Hamilton is the man you want in your locker room to try to solve a problem which may be too large to fix.

Goon said Hamilton’s leadership skills are equal to his undeniable talents.

Goon praised Hamilton’s accountability. He also apologized for remarks he made in the previous week that upset some Ravens fans.

“I felt like I made a bad choice of words earlier in the week when I said that Ravens fans are spoiled. Hamilton said, “I retract that.” I meant it in the sense that Ravens’ fans are used to great defense and great teams. Since ’96, there haven’t really been many Ravens teams that underperformed to the point of making fans feel disappointed with the season. “I felt that as of Week 4, there is still a lot to do in this season. We’re disappointed, and I’m certain the fans are too.”
