Both the Baltimore Ravens (and Green Bay Packers) are dealing with injuries at their starting quarterbacks before their matchup this Saturday. Both teams have done walk-throughs, so the injury status is an estimate.
Lamar Jackson, the Ravens’ quarterback, suffered a back injury shortly before halftime in Sunday night’s loss to Patriots. He was, as expected, listed on the Tuesday injury report as a non participant. His back contusion threatens to keep him out of practice this weekend. He’s had the first weekday off for a lot of rest this year. He was in obvious pain after the match and now has less time to prepare than usual.
At Tuesday’s practice, the Packers listed quarterback Jordan Love in a limited participation status. Love is suffering from a shoulder injury as well as a concussion. The latter forced him to miss Green Bay’s Saturday night loss to the Bears. Love’s restricted status suggests that he is in Phase 3 of the NFL’s concussion protocols. Love has one day less to recover but he still seems to be in a position to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol and play.
