Ravens owner shuts down rumors about John Harbaugh

John Harbaugh, the head coach of Baltimore Ravens since almost 20 years.

He was appointed in 2008, and has won one Super Bowl.

It’s because of this that, despite the poor performance of his team, his position is said to be secure for now.

The Athletic reports that Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti will ‘almost definitely’ not fire HC John Harbaugh during the middle of a season. “This should answer any questions about Harbaugh’s immediate future,” Ravens Nation Live reported on X.

Harbaugh deserves the benefit of doubt.

It’s not as if fans have no right to consider his dismissal, even though Lamar Jackson is currently out of action due to an injury.

His team has consistently underperformed despite having an MVP-caliber QB at the helm and, at times a top-notch defense.

Harbaugh’s fault is not insignificant, but the front office must be held responsible for its personnel.

But firing a coach in the middle of a season rarely leads to success.

A team should be cautious not to become a slave to their head coach and to keep them around out of respect for the work they have done.

Coaches are paid millions of dollars to win.

The Ravens have a Super Bowl aspiration, and failing to meet those expectations regularly should eventually lead to a major change.
