The Ravens released the first injury report on Thursday for their Week 3-matchup against Lions. Four starters, including Patrick Ricard (fullback), who hadn’t been to practice in over a month, did not take part.
Marlon Humphrey, the cornerback who left Sunday’s match early in fourth quarter, was fully involved. This is a positive sign. The most exciting part of the practice was that tight end Isaiah Likely, who injured his foot late in July, participated in full. This means he could make his debut in 2025 on Monday.
It’s been fine for the Ravens without Likely. But adding a dynamic blocker and receiver of his caliber would still be a big boost. The fact that he was practicing to begin the week could indicate he will be ready for Week 3 The team will monitor his progress closely, however, as he is coming off of surgery.
Ali wore a red non contact jersey during Thursday’s training after leaving the game on Sunday with a concussion. Per ESPN’s Jamison Hnsley. Keaton Mitchell could also make his regular season debut on Monday, depending on how Ali progresses through the concussion protocols.
John Harbaugh stated on Monday, that Ricard’s recuperation has been “slower” than we had hoped. He described the veteran fullback’s condition as “week to week.” It seems unlikely that Ricard will be ready for the game on Monday.
Van Noy is out for several weeks while he recovers. The Ravens are hoping that Madubuike, Wiggins and the rest of their offensive line will be prepared to take on a dangerous Lions team. Harbaugh did not reveal any details about Madubuike’s injury on Thursday. However, he said that Wiggins is “generally okay.”
Linebacker Jack Campbell and defensive lineman Marcus Davenport were the Lions’ DNPs on Thursday. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker was also a DNP. Detroit’s defense would be softened by the absence of Campbell or Davenport, and Decker’s backup Giovanni Manu would make it easier for Baltimore to exploit Detroit’s defensive line.
