Ravens ‘hunting matchups’ with Dre’Mont Jones trade

Rookie Keondre Jackson Has Energized Ravens’ Special Teams

Keondre, a rookie safety who was undrafted and had been on the practice squad for a few weeks, has now been promoted to the 53-man team. No word yet on whether Keondre Jackson did a backflip when he heard the news. But he was certainly excited.

Jackson has five tackles in special teams games. He has given the special teams unit some extra juice. Jackson did a flip after one of his tackles against the Dolphins. He ran up to the Ravens’ sideline.

Chris Horton, Special Teams Coordinator, said: “This guy [is] very athletic and a very talented player.” “He should be excited about making plays and going out on the field. This energy is contagious and spreads throughout our team. When you do these things, just encourage them, and tell them that if they’re going flip, stick to the landing.

Jackson and his coaches are trying to improve on the two penalties he received in Miami.

This guy loves football. Horton stated, “I think that if you guys watch the tape and see him play, you’ll realize how important he is in our phase of football.” As a coach you don’t wish to take this away from him. As we move forward, I have to make sure that he understands, as his coach: “You can only play at a certain level and you’re limited to what you’re capable of.”
