Baltimore Ravens may be without several key defenders when they face the New England Patriots on Sunday.
The cornerback Chidobe awuzie is expected to be out of the game, and both safety Kyle Hamilton (ankle), as well as defensive tackle John Jenkins are questionable.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said that Hamilton’s absence could have a major impact on the game. However, he’s “more likely than not” to play. Hamilton has a difficult time getting off the field, but the injury occurred during Friday’s practice. He only had one day to recover and rest. Hamilton will most likely do a pre-game work out on Sunday night to determine his status.
Ar’Darius Washington, who is back in the lineup, will allow them to replace Hamilton with another player. Baltimore’s defense will be even more dependent on the play of Malaki Starks, Alohi Gillman and others.
On Saturday, the Ravens added defensive lineman Brent Urban as a new injury. Urban, like Jenkins and Lamar Jackson in the previous week, is also suffering from an illness that has spread throughout Baltimore’s locker-room. Josh Tupou has been elevated to the practice squad as Jenkins and Urban are both questionable. However, if both players were absent from the game, Aeneas peebles would be back on the field.
The Ravens’ inactives will be posted at 6:50 pm. Keep an eye on Baltimore Beatdown.com (@BMoreBeatdown), and the X account on Twitter (@BMoreBeatdown), for updates on the status of their injured players.
