Ravens Defense Has Its Swagger Back After Minnesota Win

Kyle Hamilton says that the Ravens’ defense is back to its old swagger. Well, almost.

Hamilton, after the Ravens 27-19 victory in Minnesota, said that they need to first improve their celebrations. The mere fact that the Ravens are planning these celebrations shows that they anticipate them. This is a vast improvement from Baltimore’s defensive attitude earlier in the season.

Baltimore was able to stop three fourth downs, including two interceptions, on a day when Lamar Jackson’s Ravens offense put in a mixed performance.

Hamilton said, “I believe we’re beginning to find our groove.” “It is not surprising to us. I believe we are playing at our full potential right now and this has to continue.

The Ravens defense, which had a 1-5 season and a league-low 32.3 points per game, only had three interceptions in six games.

Baltimore has now taken seven interceptions in its last three games. The Ravens have been rewarded for their high turnover rate.

Baltimore held Justin Jefferson, one of the top wide receivers, to only four catches and 37 yards from 12 targets. Jordan Addison, another top receiver, had only three catches and 35 yards.

J.J. McCarthy, Vikings quarterback in his fourth game of career, started out hot but ended up completing less that half of his passes (20/42), for a total of 248 yards.

John Harbaugh, the Ravens’ head coach, said that the Ravens did not do anything out of the ordinary to deal with Jefferson.

Harbaugh stated, “We rolled quarters to the guys a few times but that was still enough coverage for the guys.” “I give credit to the players,” Harbaugh said. “I thought our guys did an excellent job just covering.”
