The Ravens have promoted defensive tackle Josh Tupou and safety Sanoussi Kane for the Steelers game on Sunday.
Kane, a seventh-round draft pick in 2024 has made one tackle in six games this season. Kane was a backup safet at the beginning of the season, but 140 out of 152 snaps he has taken this year have been on special teams.
Kane made nine tackles in 15 games as a rookie. He will likely fill in for Chandler Martin on the special teams, after he suffered a season ending knee injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13.
Tupou’s only appearance this season was in Week 4, against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he made three tackles. Tupou, 31, will be able to take part in the Ravens’ defensive line rotation to stop Pittsburgh’s rushing offense.
