Two Baltimore Ravens players were ruled out of their Week 14 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, neither player is currently on the 53 man roster.
Tavius Washington and Ar’Darius Washington were the players who had been designated to return to training this week. Washington, who had been out of action for seven month, was upgraded to full participant Friday.
The Ravens’ health is good. On Friday, all players on the injury list, including Lamar Jackson were upgraded to full participation. No player has an injury designation for Sunday.
However, the Steelers are in a worse state. Pittsburgh’s defensive unit has suffered a major blow with the absence of Derrick Harmon, starting defensive lineman, and safety Kyle Dugger. Dugger started five of the team’s games since they acquired him in order to replace DeShon Elliot, while Harmon was a vital run-stopper.
Harmon has been off the field, and while the Ravens haven’t set any records in terms of offense, Pittsburgh has allowed 182.6 rushing yard per game.
Will Todd Monken really commit to running the football throughout the entire game? Who knows? At least, the opportunity exists.
