Robinson broke his foot in the Rams game and will not be back at all until November. After a successful off-season, the 2023 fourth round pick was expected to make an impact as a edge defender in 2019. Robinson has two sacks, two tackles-for-loss, and one forced fumble (tied with the Ravens, but that’s more about the Ravens), but he struggles to be consistent, like his teammates. The third-year defensive back has taken a lot snaps, and his absence would be a big loss to the defense.
Jones, a third-round draft pick from April, has had a long recovery after shoulder surgery following the Combine. Jones missed spring practice and training camp but began practicing in Week 5 as soon as his eligibility was confirmed. His first pass protection was done last week, and he took his 21-day window of practice before being activated.
Jones’ college tape suggests that he might be able to replace the Ravens’ offensive line at the end of the year, but it doesn’t appear likely. Jones would have to switch positions because the Ravens are likely to change their offensive line. He still needs time to reach 100% physical. He’s unlikely to play this year but should get a shot at the starting position next year. Most likely, he will start at guard. He will be inactive on gamedays for a couple of weeks, along with Carson Vinson.
