The Ravens activated rookie offensive-lineman Emery Jones Jr. and placed outside-linebacker Tavius R. Robinson on injured reserve.
Robinson broke his foot during the Ravens’ loss to Los Angeles Rams in Week 6. Head Coach John Harbaugh has said that he will be out of action for 6 to 8 weeks.
Robinson, a hard-nosed starter and edge setter, is tied with the Ravens for first place in sacks.
John Harbaugh, the head coach, said that filling up those defensive reps is important because Tavius, who is a physical edge player and a hard-playing man, is an extremely valuable asset.
Jones’ 21 day practice window expired, so the LSU third-round draft pick had to either be activated or put on a season-ending injury reserve. Jones is expected to play in his rookie year, but he’s not ready. Jones began pass protection drills last week.
Harbaugh stated, “I don’t think he’ll be up this coming week just because the doctor hasn’t cleared him.”
