Ravens acquire Titans’ EDGE Dre’Mont Jones

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Baltimore Ravens have acquired Dre’Mont from the Tennessee Titans in order to improve their weak pass rush and limited outside linebacker space.

The Ravens will send a fifth round pick that can be upgraded to a four-rounder to the Titans in exchange for the veteran edge-rusher.

Jones, 28 years old, started the Titans first nine games of this year. Jones was relatively quiet during the first five weeks, but he came alive in the final month. He had a sack in his last four games and tackles for loss. He is primarily a lineman, but with his 6’3″ and 281 pound frame, he can also slide in as a pass-rusher. This hasn’t been a big part of his play the past two seasons.

Zach Canter, a Baltimore Beatdown contributor, had identified Jones as one of his top targets for Tuesday’s deadline.

Jones is the most cost-effective short-term solution to help the Ravens by 2025. The Ravens can use the production of this seven-year veteran. He is one of the most likely names to be leaving Tennessee by the deadline. Jones has accumulated 5.5 sacks or more in three of his six-year career, and he is already at 4.5 after nine games of this season. This, along with another defensive line addition, could help bring balance back to the defense. It will also make it more adaptable and flexible.

According to OverTheCap the veteran seven-year player is due $1.25m for the rest of the season. This is only $250,000 higher than the amount the Ravens cleared by trading Jaire Alexander on Saturday. The contract includes $500k in sack bonuses ($500k for 5 sacks, $250k additional for 7 and 9 sacks) and $500k of playtime bonuses ($250k for each 60% and 70% defensive snap participation). The 4.5 sacks he has already earned should be at least $500k. However, he might not keep his 71% snap-share when he moves to Baltimore. The Ravens salary cap for 2026 will include any incentives he earns.
