Rashod bateman still sidelined; Lamar Jackson gets full week of practice

Lamar Jackson is ready for the AFC North championship game on Sunday in Pittsburgh, having had his first full week of training since early November.

Jackson missed the game last week due to a contusion in his back, but was able return to full participation this week. He will wear extra padding to protect his contusion.

Todd Monken, Offensive Coordinator said: “We are excited.” You like to have your quarterback on the field every day.

Rashod bateman, the wide receiver who has been out of practice all week because of an illness is now in doubt. DeAndre Hopkins or Devontez Walker would get more snaps if Bateman, who has 19 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns, is unable to play.

Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy returned to the practice field on Friday. This gives him hope that he will be able to play in Sunday’s game.

Roquan Smith, a linebacker from the New York Jets, was limited to practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to hamstring injury. However, he told reporters Thursday that he will play.

Steelers All Pro pass rusher T.J. Watt will play but it is unclear how much of a role he will have in his return game after suffering a partially collapsing lung.
