Pundit says Lamar Jackson is NFL’s most important player over next six weeks

Lamar Jackson’s importance to the Ravens is a given. ESPN’s Dan Graziano thinks Jackson is the most valuable player in the league for the last six weeks of the year.

Graziano wrote that the two-time MVP had a lot of work to do in December and January, after he played through knee, hamstring, and toe problems this season. He insists that injuries do not affect his performance, but many around the league question whether he is able to run freely because of these ailments. Baltimore is 21st overall in offense. This is a dramatic drop of 20 places from last year despite having the same personnel.

Jackson missed three games due to a hamstring problem. In the four games since, he has only rushed for 71 yards (2.8 average). Mina Kimes, an ESPN analyst, said that she was more concerned about how Jackson looked when he was throwing in the pocket.

“He’s been 32nd on accuracy in the first four weeks. Kimes stated that to put this in perspective, he was only second last year behind Joe Burrow. “It isn’t like Lamar Jackson suddenly became a poor pocket passer. This is especially true for quick throws. These things seem to be connected. His inability to escape the pressure as he is used to does affect his entire pocket process. There may be mechanical problems as well. “He’s not himself as a pocket passer.”
