Nick Wright Reveals How Lamar Jackson Can Become A Legend

Lamar Jackson has surpassed even the highest expectations anybody had for him when he entered the NFL as the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 draft, and at 28 years old, he has won a pair of MVP awards, and probably should have won a third after having a career year in 2024.

His numbers have been off the charts, and the only knock on him at this point has been the fact that the Ravens haven’t reached a Super Bowl in his tenure.

Analyst Nick Wright agrees, and he recently said that it is the one thing holding him back from being a legend at the moment.

“The only thing standing between Lamar and being in the discussion as one of the six or seven greatest QBs of all-time is one great playoff run.”

Jackson has a 3-5 playoff record with ten passing touchdowns and seven interceptions in those eight games, and this narrative of him falling short in the playoffs is starting to pick up more steam year after year.

Baltimore fell short in the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills last season following a pair of late-game blunders that were out of Jackson’s control, but he has repeatedly not put up similar numbers in the postseason as he has in the regular season.

Baltimore features one of the most devastating rushing duos with Jackson and Derrick Henry, and as long as Henry is in town, this window of contention is open.

It’s up to Jackson to lead the team through it and get over the hump, and we’ll see if he can do that in 2025.
