Tavius Robinson never missed a single practice, let alone a match before he sustained a foot injury against the Los Angeles Rams on October 12.
The gritty linebacker felt even more pain after watching his team lose seven consecutive games without him.
Robinson explained that there were two possible ways to look at the situation. “I could be angry and frustrated or I could just attack rehab and that’s exactly what I did.”
Robinson, who is now in his second practice week, expects to see his wait end on Sunday. Robinson replied, “Yeah, I do.” When asked if he expects to play, he said: “Yes, I do.”
Robinson stated that he is feeling great and his foot now feels normal. The Ravens will be able to increase their physicality in the front with Dre’Mont, whom the Ravens acquired as compensation for Robinson. Robinson had two sacks for the Ravens in his five first full games before he went down.
Baltimore’s defense would benefit greatly from his return. This will be crucial in catching Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and in slowing down the Bengals run game. It is a game that Baltimore must win.
Robinson was not playing when the Ravens won 5 straight games, bouncing back from an 1-5 start. Robinson is eager to get involved as Baltimore looks to end a losing streak of two games against rivals in the division.
Robinson stated, “It’s so nice to be back on the field.” It’s an honor to be out there again with my brothers. “I’m excited to play with them.”
While Robinson was recovering, the Ravens played three road games. This meant that Robinson had to watch all of these games at home.
Robinson stated, “Honestly, I found the first couple of games difficult to watch, because I felt that I was failing my team by not being there.” It was difficult to watch my team play.
“I said that if I were injured, I’d die to go out and play a block snap for a field goal, or anything else. It’s a good reminder to never take anything for granted. Every play, every snap, has to be done with full effort and full everything because you know that it can be taken from you.
