News & Notes – Marlon Huffprey and Rashod Bateman could miss time with injuries

Unfortunately, the Ravens’ health status didn’t last very long.

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, said on Monday that cornerback Marlon Huffprey and wide-receiver Rashod Bateman may miss some time due to injuries.

Humphrey suffered a finger injury in the last week. He played Sunday with his left arm heavily wrapped, but it didn’t prevent him from making a crucial interception. Humphrey may need surgery to fix the problem permanently.

Harbaugh stated that “he might need to have something done (surgery) to tighten up the area. This would allow him to play immediately, but it could take a few days to recover.”

“I was told it would only be a few days.” If you say one week, I think maybe two. “If he wants to keep it wrapped and play the game, he’ll be able to do so (against Cleveland).

Harbaugh stated that Bateman’s sprained foot shouldn’t prevent him from playing for too long. Bateman currently has 16 catches this season for 194 yard and two touchdowns.

I think he will be fine. Harbaugh stated that he has an ankle sprain and we will see the severity of it. We’ll see (if he misses time). We’ll know more probably on Wednesday.”

The injury occurred after Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers dragged Bateman down from behind, just outside of the goalline. Rodgers dropped his weight onto Bateman’s back legs.
