After Sunday’s win, Keyon Martin had to stay in Cleveland for a bit longer than he anticipated.
John Harbaugh, the head coach of Baltimore’s football team, said Martin was examined in a hospital for a chest injury and returned to Baltimore on Monday.
Harbaugh stated, “Looks as though he is OK.” He had to undergo a lot of tests in the hospital yesterday. The results were all negative in a positive way. He is back. “We’ll watch how it progresses over the next 24 hours.”
Martin had a great game against the Browns, with his first career sack and a pass breakup. He played 18 defensive snaps (32.7%). The undrafted rookie, who has played on special teams for the entire season, has made similar plays to those he made during the summer that earned him a roster position.
Harbaugh stated, “That sack was a good one, he did a few good covers, and he batted the ball.” “I thought he did really well.” He has always played well in special teams.
Martin picked up the slack left by Marlon Humphrey, who was injured in Cleveland.
Harbaugh hopes that Humphrey will be ready to play against the New York Jets Week 12 after he had surgery to insert a pin into his dislocated hand.
Harbaugh stated, “I am optimistic about it right now.”
