Zay Flower got emotional when General Manager Eric DeCosta informed him last year that he made his first Pro Bowl.
Flowers revealed that he learned of his second-year honor via Instagram, and had a completely different reaction.
Flowers stated, “I was grateful for the gesture, but I would have preferred to win, if I were being honest.”
Flowers is only the third Raven to ever record 1,000 receiving yard in consecutive seasons. He joins Derrick Alexander (1996) and Derrick Mason (3 straight, 2007-09).
Flowers is one of the top receivers in the league. Flowers joined Ja’Marr chase of the Bengals and Nico Collins of the Texans as two-time Pro Bowlers.
Flowers said, “It shows me that I am willing to work hard and play with the best players.”
Flowers’ Pro Bowl reportedly also increased the value his fifth-year options, which will be decided by the Ravens this coming offseason. Flowers will become eligible for the first contract extension.
